FOLON was an artist unique unto his time. Norman Henry first became aware of FOLON's work at ART BASIL (world renown art fair in Switzerland) avidly collecting upon learning of the METROPOLITAN MUSEUM, NYC 1990 Show for FOLON - who was living at the time.
Along with the many honors, awards, prizes and museums exhibiting his work - FOLON designed numerous posters for humanitarian causes. In 2004 he became an Ambassador for UNICEF and in 2005 The City of Florence, Italy held a grand retrospective of his work at The Palace Vecchio and The Forte du Belvedere. "The serene and tender way he looked at people, his pure and clear gestures, the colors of his palette that filled our dreams, held sympathy for all the great causes of the world." |
